Alongside his artistic practice, Benjamin Akio Kimitch has served the field as a full-time producer and curator at internationally-renowned New York City institutions dedicated to new work in the performing arts. In 2022, Kimitch was appointed the producer for Perelman Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center. Previously, he held positions on the artistic programming teams at Danspace Project (program director & associate curator), Performance Space New York (senior producer), Park Avenue Armory (production coordinator) and New York Live Arts (producing associate). Other career highlights include being a 2019 U.S. curatorial delegate for the British Council, former selection committee member for the NY Dance and Performance “Bessie” Awards and serving on countless arts funding panels.
